Noble Deed…

A friend of mine has started a small community… typically we think a community is to share ideas, thoughts or in todays term a virtual community web2.0 etc etc…

But she has done something different.. she has started feeding the poor and providing them food daily… they have identified about 200 needy people around Kakinada for whom they have started providing food daily..

So whats new or different about this… the way she has conceived it is that the poor not only get fed but are also being provided skills to improve their employability, get employed and be on their own… they have done this with the help of a community surrounding this area who participate in various activities like identify the needy, register them, serve food, provide counseling, form rehabilitation groups, participate in skill-building, find jobs and occupations, and so on.

Pretty commendable job.. while most of us tend to pity for the poor but not really doing something to improve their status, she has done something for them.. hats off..

check out this link about them
